RESERVATIONS & GUEST SERVICES SPECIALIST

Reports to Front Office Manager. Full-time.
Located at Hara House Bright, Victoria.

The newly redeveloped Hara House, Bright’s first Boutique Hotel, is scheduled to open in April 2023, Hara House offers 20 guest rooms and 2 suites. Rooms have been lavishly restored and individually styled to provide each guest with a unique & authentic experience. Every detail is considered and executed to reflect the beautifully considered Hara House brand.

This is a dynamic role, you will be responsible for providing a ‘Hara Welcome’ and ‘Be our Guest’ level of service. You will facilitating guest requests and most likely pre-empt guests wishes as you are a natural Host or Hostess.

Hara House is different. The guest pre-arrival experience is systematic and comprehensive, On arrival at the Welcome Bar guests receive a warm, personalised welcome, issued with their customised itinerary and hotel information, they are served a drink and snack and may wish to chat about their Bright stay which is varied and wide. Guest may also choose to browse Hara Home Boutique, Book an Adventure, a Treatment at Hara Spa or Dinner at Pepperberry Restaurant, all whilst in your care .

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reservations & Guest Services Specialist. You may choose to be known as a Welcomes Maker, Adventure Expert, Host with the Most or Chief Concierge. Bottom line is you are the first point of call for our Hara House guests, what a wonderful privilege and responsibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Work effectively to ensure that all areas of the guest experience are delivered in line with the hotel policies & procedures, resolving any issues that may arise immediately.
  • Oversee the reservations process, including booking confirmation, pre-arrival communication, payment and post-stay follow-up, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all guest reservations
  • Coordinate additional reservations for Pepperberry Restaurant, Hara Spa and other Activities with guests.
  • Assist in the operation of Hara Home Boutique, forming a part of our guest experience.
  • Ensure that all components of our Welcome Bar and Hara Home Boutique are loved on a daily basis.
  • Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure that all guest requests and maintenance issues are handled promptly and professionally.
  • If necessary, report any equipment or maintenance issues to the Front Office Manager immediately and follow up to ensure that they are resolved in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Reservations & Guest Services Specialist or a similar role including excellent knowledge of boutique hotel guest services.
  • Experience using a Property Management System (ideally Mews), Booking
    Engine and Point of Sale software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of
    customer service, professionalism and presentation at all times.

The Restaurant Supervisor will assist the F&B Manager with the hotel food and beverage operations, including Pepperberry Restaurant, bars, room service, and picnic basket service, as well as overseeing the restaurant front of house team. This position requires an individual who is not only highly skilled in restaurant operations, but also loves nothing more than providing guests with a unique and memorable experience. We are seeking an enthusiastic Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals in accordance with our restaurant’s standards across all facets of the kitchen.

The hotel will exhibit beautifully maintained and cared for gardens, lawns, carparks and outside spaces. The pool area is the hotel centrepiece and requires care throughout the day including, sweeping, water testing, glass cleaning,  organisation and care of pool floats, pool towels, amenities, furniture and umbrellas.

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Maintenance Attendant to join our Hara House Team. The role will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation of all outside spaces at Hara House. This role is critical to ensuring guest satisfaction and loyalty through the provision of exceptional housekeeping services.

Responsibilities:

  • All internal and external building maintenance, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs. They will be required to conduct regular inspections to identify any issues and ensure that all repairs are completed promptly, and appropriate contactors engaged where neccessary.
  • Upkeep of all outdoor areas, including the gardens, grounds, and pool area. This will include regular maintenance, such as mowing the lawn, trimming trees and bushes, and ensuring that the pool is cleaned and maintainedTop of Form.

  • Carry out instructions as directed by Head of House or Assistant Head of House.

SPA THERAPIST

Reports to Spa Manager. Full-time or Part-time. 

Located at Hara House Bright, Northeast Victoria.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Spa Therapist to deliver exquisite spa treatments at Hara Spa. The Spa Therapist will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest service whilst maintaining Hara Spa’s exceptionally high standards of service, style and comfort.

We are seeking professional Spa Therapists to join at Hara Spa. The role will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of guest experience at Hara Spa. This role is critical to ensuring guest satisfaction and loyalty through the provision of exceptional guest services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Hara Spa rituals & treatments, including massages, facials & body treatments to the highest possible standards as provided in your induction & training.
  • Maintain a beautifully styled, clean and organised spa environment, ensuring compliance with all safety and health regulations.
  • In conjunction with the Front Office Team, manage spa bookings, billing and appointment scheduling. Maintain accurate records at all times.
  • Manage Hara Spa at Home Range, including sales, inventory, visual merchandising and stock rotation.
  • If necessary, report any equipment or maintenance issues to the General Manager immediately and follow up to ensure that they are resolved in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel spa environment.
  • A relevant qualification in spa therapy and massage essential.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff.
  • Knowledge of spa treatments, products, and services, with a passion for the industry.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of customer service, cleanliness and presentation.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required.
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a willingness to go the extra mile for guests.
